THE SWEET LIFE

Ingredients

For the Calabrian Chili Simple Syrup:

• 1 cup of sugar 
• 4 dried calabrian chilis

For the Cocktail:

• ¼ oz Calabrian Chili simple syrup
• 3 oz pure passion fruit juice
• 2 oz light rum
• ½ oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
• ½ oz Almond orgeat 
• ½ oz amaro montenegro 

Instructions

Make the Calabrian Chili Simple Syrup:

• add 1 cup of sugar to 1 cup of water.
• add 4 dried calabrian chilis
• bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.
• simmer for about 10 mins or until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has thickened slightly.
• let chilis sit for at least 10 min, up to 2 hours to fully infuse.
• strain the chilis out of the syrup and store in an airtight container in the fridge.

For the Cocktail

• add Calabrian Chili simple syrup, passion fruit juice, lemon juice, rum, orgeat and montenegro to a shaker.
• shake for 30-40 seconds.
• add in the ice and shake for another 20 seconds.
• double strain the cocktail into a glass and garnish.
